Large Garfish Preparation
The images below document the gradual preparation of a Green River Formation garfish. Using precision micro air abrasion and specialized hand tools, layers of limestone are carefully removed to reveal the fossil while preserving every possible anatomical detail. This meticulous process often requires dozens of hours of patient, highly skilled work.
